Our Sustainability Practices

Our Sustainability Practices

At Robinson Farm, we’re committed to preserving the land we love, and that means continually investing in a greener future.

Clean Energy on the Farm

Just behind our iconic red barn, a field of solar panels quietly powers every event on the farm. From lighting and sound to refrigeration and beyond, your stay or celebration runs on 100% solar energy—fueled entirely by the Vermont sun.

Big News! And we’re expanding. In partnership with Green Mountain Solar, we are doubling our solar capacity, with the goal of offsetting the energy use across the entire property.

Getting Here & Getting Around

We offer electric car charging for guests, whether you’re here for an overnight stay, a wedding celebration, or just passing through. It’s a simple way to support more sustainable travel.

Once you’re here, the farm is best experienced at a slower pace, hiking our trails on our private 100 acres or simply enjoying the landscape.

It’s all part of our mission to tread lightly, care deeply, and ensure that this historic land can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Thoughtful Infrastructure

Even our event infrastructure reflects this approach. Our new bathroom trailer is fully solar-powered, allowing us to host comfortably while keeping our environmental impact low.

We also look for opportunities to reuse and build thoughtfully, like the reclaimed wood used in our farmstand, giving existing materials new life.

The Farmstand

Part of that effort comes full circle at the Robinson Farmstand, where we share what we grow with guests, neighbors, and visitors passing through. Fresh produce, eggs, and seasonal goods—all grown or sourced with care, just steps from where you’ll find them.

This year we are adding a Pick Your Own Berry patch just outside the farmstand!

From the Land

Our approach to sustainability extends to how we care for the land itself—from expanding gardens to supporting pollinators and growing food right here on the property.
